Curtis Lucas
Curtis Lucas is a managing partner of Lucas & Lucas Law, PLLC. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Curtis received his A.B.A. in Business Administration from Northwest Vista College, his B.B.A. in International Business & Finance from St. Mary’s University, and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Baylor University School of Law. He resides in Waco, Texas with his wife Kimberly and their two children. In his extra time, Curtis loves to spend time with his wife and children enjoying the outdoors.
Curtis is a passionate advocate for people injured as a result of negligence. He has spent his entire 13-year career handling cases involving injuries caused by car accidents, dog bites, eighteen wheelers, as well as premises injury cases in Waco, and up and down I-35. Curtis has capably handled thousands of cases and knows how to maximize your case to obtain top dollar from the stingy insurance carriers for his clients’ injuries.
Curtis was President of the McLennan County Young Lawyers Association (MCYLA) from 2016-2017. Curtis served as Director for the Waco region for the Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA) from 2014-2017. Curtis is an active member of the Texas Bar College legal honor society, and he is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Curtis is a life-member of Phi Theta Kappa and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies, along with the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity.
Kimberly Lucas
Kimberly Lucas came to Waco in 2005 from sunny Southern California to attend Baylor Law School and has lived in Central Texas ever since. Over the course of her 16-year career she has spent eight years as a prosecutor and eight as a criminal defense attorney. She enjoys handling juvenile criminal matters as well as practice in federal criminal defense in the Western District of Texas. Kimberly has tried over 60 criminal and civil state jury trials along with handling thousands of other criminal cases and knows what it takes to defend your case.
Kimberly worked as an intern for Federal Magistrate Judge Jeffrey Manske from 2006-2007. During her early career she served as a director for the McLennan County Young Lawyers Association (MCYLA) for four years. She has volunteered her time to judge for various mock trial and client counseling competitions, work on community projects on behalf of MCYLA, and has been a presenter at various CLE/TCLEOSE/CEU trainings on topics including child abuse, elder abuse, child protective services issues, and the use of social media in law firms. She currently spends time volunteering on the Board for a local non-profit.
Ms. Lucas received her A.A. in Foreign Language (Spanish) in 2000, her B.A. in Criminal Justice from Chapman University in 2004 and her J.D. with an emphasis in Criminal Law from Baylor University School of Law in 2007. She has been married to her law partner Curtis Lucas for over 10 years and they enjoy spending time as a family with their two children by getting out around town to enjoy many Waco community events!
